All meeting minutes

April 27, 2026

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by President Robert Davenport. All board members were present except Burt Devere, there were some general members as well.

The minutes of the March 23, 2026 meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Jeff Devere went over the balance sheet and the draft of the 990PF tax return which he prepared. The board approved retaining a CPA to edit the draft and do the electronic filing required. Jeff has the thanks of the board for the effort necessary to do the bookkeeping and accounting necessary to get the 2025 fiscal year records in order to report to IRS.

Old Business

The lumber for the Visitor’s Center has been received from Oregon. Work will begin with the doors, which are the center of dimensioning for the casings and trim around them.

The wall on Allen Street was drawn up and ready for permitting. Estimated cost was around $40K, less with more work from volunteers. The pipe recycling is OK. And the emulsion for the adobe mortar will be provided by the city public works department.

Tipsy Tea was reviewed by Susan Wallace, 40 tickets are unsold and a detailed schedule for May 2nd was determined, otherwise the event is on course.

Preservation Partnership document was discussed, there were minor changes in the process of application, but generally the document will do the desired goals. Consensus was to continue editing and then enter a few projects to see how the process develops in use. A funding level of $10K for five projects would be acceptable and affordable. This will be a work in progress, and evolve to become a visible restoration tool for the small building owner.

New Business

The city dropped a bill for $15K on TRC for some survey on the pool project that they contracted for. TRC has had no actual report for work done and declined to pay the bill from the Ferguson Trust Funds. Robert Davenport will contact the city and tell them the requirements for work done, etc. again.

The next regular meeting will be May 18th, 2026 at 5:30 pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Bourke Runton, Secretary
