All meeting minutes

February 23, 2026

The meeting was called to order by President Robert Davenport at 5:30 pm. All board members were present and some general members.

The minutes of the January 12th meeting were read and approved with an addition to the Visitor Center entry.

The financial report was reviewed and approved to be added to the minutes.

Old Business

The city pool has been postponed to sometime next year, it will be used as-is this summer. The job lacks organization and the city is not doing well getting it moving.

Visitor Center – The city has done no work to locate and resolve the septic tank/parking lot issue. Robert Barnes showed drawings of an adobe wall with gates which would have a period appearance and screen the parking lot from historic Allen Street. Color and texture of the adobe emulsion was discussed and a tentative finish was approved to go with the weathered wood gates.

Schieffelin Monument – abuttors began a cleanup of their site, a positive movement.

Administrative – the several yearly filings and renewals were reviewed and approved.

Tipsy Tea Party – the date was determined to be May 2nd, at the Rose Tree. More details to be determined.

New Business

The idea of a TRC Preservation Partnership Program was introduced to move forward from the recent projects toward a community wide awareness of options and assistance for restoration on private owner sites.

The next regular meeting will be March 23, 2026 at 5:30 pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm. The board began an executive meeting to discuss vacant seats and candidates for them.

Respectfully submitted,
Bourke Runton, Secretary
